On 8 July, seven parliamentarians from the APPG met with polio survivors, John, Paul, David and Sue, from across the UK to discuss their experiences of living with polio in the UK and the need to eradicate polio globally.
The event was hosted by One Last Push and the APPG, and chaired by Dr Philippa Whitford MP. Parliamentarians and APPG members, Bambos Charalambous MP, Christian Matheson MP, Maggie Throup MP, Ian Austin MP, Alex Chalk MP and Baroness Jenkin attended the event and heard the personal stories of how polio has affected the lives of individuals in the UK.
